Prioritize your Learning: What Matters Most in Programming

I am saying this in the context of becoming a programmer. Learning something is good, and acquiring knowledge about something is also worthwhile. But I want to guide beginners who are starting to learn programming. They should not spend more than enough time on a specific language. I think everyone is familiar with W3Schools. I have used it many times. It is good to learn a language in sequence. It has each topic in a good way. But it has every topic. I know a programmer should have good knowledge, but it will take a long time to learn everything. Like I will tell you about CSS in W3Schools, it has many topics. However, some topics are not as essential as others, so a learner should learn the most important concepts at the start and then start practicing them. When he learns the most important concepts, he will work on those topics effectively. When he uses those topics and makes something like some projects, he will need to learn new things to build his projects. I have seen on w3Schools that there are about 100 points of CSS. It will take about 6–8 weeks to cover each topic, but this is a waste of time. So a person should start with the most basic and important ones like CSS syntax, CSS selectors, CSS box models, CSS colors, backgrounds, borders, margins, padding, CSS display, and position.

CSS Flexbox and many others will take about 10 days. So when a person learns the most crucial concepts, he will be capable of developing something like a simple webpage about anything of his interest. While doing this, he will have to search for things he does not understand, and then he will acquire knowledge of new things in this way.
